Artist and Writer
Born in LA and raised in Taiwan, I moved to the Bay Area when I was 14.
Born in 2002, “duality” and “breaking duality” summarize major developments in my personality. Having to navigate America and Taiwan, Taiwan’s own ambiguous sense of identity, and my Buddhist background in a Christian-dominated country, I became interested in comparative literature and in both Eastern and Western philosophies.
My experiences as an underdiagnosed autistic girl informed my passion for studying politics.
In 2021, I was diagnosed with various chronic illnesses such as dry eye syndrome, which severely impacted my performance at school. I took a gap year in 2024 to get rid of a brain aneurysm. During this period, I rediscovered my passion for writing.
As a kid, I poured my soul and spirit into creating stories. This passion was pushed aside due to social expectations, but it manifested in my determination to pursue art. But I never let go of my interest in writing. I am invested in debate, creative writing, commentary, editorial work, and academic research outside of art, in both Mandarin and English.
